Yeah, so I was over one of my good friends house, who I havn't seen in some time for a night of Gaming and movies and other stuff. Anyway he had picked up the newest Silent Hill game (4 for those of you who aren't keeping count). I'd have to say, at least from the first bit I saw in the beginning this it's probably going to be the creepiest of them all. I'm a big survival horror gamer, I've played or seen all the Resident Evils, Silent Hills, and Fatal Frames, which in my opinion are the best in the genre. Anyway, if you enjoy survival horror games, check our SH4!

On a side note but still related, I was reading how horror video games seems to strike more fear then any horror movie ever has. As I thought about this I had to agree. I've seen a few movies that could be labled "horror" that have affected me pretty good, but even those didn't really "strike fear" into me. However many a video game has done so. Especially with the Silent Hill and Fatal Frame series. Silent Hill is a game that I can play in the dark, by myself, for something like 30 mintues before my mind kicks into gear and I have to turn it off. Fatal Frame2 was the only game or movie for that matter where I have actually yelled out from being startled. And it wasn't just me, we're talking a room of 5 guys who have done this type of thing before. There is just something about a game that draws you in so much deeper then a movie ever could. Maybe it's the aspect of being able to decide the fate of the character and the direction of events. It pulls you in and creates a sort of kinship with the character so that what happens to them, seems that much more real to you. It's all kind of interesting once you think about it. Or I'm just a tool....I'll stick with interesting ;)
